Mountain Vista Grille & Bar: Reviews & Ratings

It’s a small airport. You need beer before getting on a plane. I’m not expecting a five star restaurant, even though the price is pretty much up there. But for what it is, we had a nice local Colorado pale ale (Dales pale ale) and burgers. Burger and chips (not fries) were actually quite good, more than I had expected. Also got a Caesar salad to go for the plane ride, and the chicken portion was very meager. It was also dry. The greens were fresh though, and there was a generous portion of shaved Parmesan cheese. The to go box was a convenient plastic rather than styrofoam or cardboard, much better for the plane ride. Overall, not many options to choose from but convenient and filling. Plus our server was super nice! I didn’t get her name though.

Our waitress was fantastic. We let her know that our previous flight was late which made us rushing to our next one but we needed food and she rushed everything for us. Food was pretty good for airport food but was very thankful to have something to eat on the plane

Our server Katrina was tending to the entire restaurant with a smile and positive attitude. Our appetizer of fries came out really quick after ordering and our craft beers were a great addition to our snack while waiting for a delayed flight.

We stopped here while on our way back home (a few weeks back in early October). We spent a lot of time here since our flight kept getting delayed because of weather, and "the sisters" who served us (one tended bar and the other was our server at the table) were amazing and so was the food and beer selection! They even ended up keeping the bar open later since our flight was stuck waiting for better weather. I had the turkey club (it comes on amazing marble rye bread). The sandwich was perfectly balanced in terms of the ratio of ingredients they used. It went perfectly with the (many) Avalanche beers I ended up having. My wife got the Harvest Salad and loved the pairing of the dressing with the dried fruit. This might be the best meal we've had in any airport and we'll definitely be back here next time we're in Colorado Springs.

The worker was very kind and energetic. Steak and eggs were much better than my expectations.

There always seems to be no line to get served. I always end up being really close to boarding time and hungry. The gal there in the morning is always so nice and work so fast to get food out. Sometimes they are out of the sourdough bread but the ciabatta bread is just as good. Highly recommend getting up bottled the water to carry on you're flight. There's always a bunch of bacon on the sandwich, which makes it nice cuz I like bacon a lot of bacon.

Had a layover so we decided to get food here because it was close. We were skeptical because they only had 2.5 stars on Google. They had just basic airport food but it was good. Had a nice few of the mountains and the service was fine. Definitely your average airport food but I have had a lot worse. I’d recommend it.

Yup. I’m reviewing airport food because people need to know if they should spend their money here while waiting for their flights! I was honestly surprised by the low reviews. We had a great time. Katherine was good to us.

Nestled within the Colorado Springs airport, Mountain Vista Grille & Bar offers a welcome respite for travelers craving hearty, well-prepared American fare paired with a solid selection of craft beers. The atmosphere is unpretentious, tailored to those seeking a satisfying meal before taking flight. The menu balances classic comfort dishes with thoughtful touches, making it more than what one might expect from an airport bar and grill.

Standout dishes like the Chicken and Waffles and Turkey Club Sandwich elevate conventional airport dining. The Turkey Club, served on rich marble rye bread, achieves a harmonious balance of flavors and textures, while the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad impresses with crisp greens and generous shaved Parmesan—though the chicken portion leans modestly. For a savory snack, the Untouchable Fries deliver a quick, flavorful bite, complemented perfectly by local Colorado brews such as Dale’s Pale Ale and Avalanche beers.

Service here truly enhances the experience. Multiple reviews highlight attentive, friendly staff who adapt to the unpredictable pace of air travel, rushing orders without compromising quality. The use of convenient, travel-friendly packaging underlines their understanding of the traveler’s needs.

While the selection may be limited by airport constraints, Mountain Vista Grille & Bar manages to offer a solid lineup of breakfast favorites, sandwiches, and shareable plates that satisfy hunger and comfort alike. It’s this combination of hearty dishes, craft beer options, and welcoming service amidst the hustle of the airport that makes Mountain Vista a noteworthy stop for locals and visitors passing through Colorado Springs.
